Gretsch Tennesee Rose

manufactured 1996

Played by Robert Smith (Cure), Brian Setzer

Really nice sounding guitar with an excellent smooth fret board, but really big. I don't know how people like Brian Setzer can hold a Gretsch all night. I was living in Poland and had to go on a work trip to Philadelphia for a few weeks. There is a specialist left handed guitar place in Houston called Southpaw Guitars that I had wanted to visit for years. Work agreed to pay for my trip back from Houston if I picked up the cost of the Philidelphia to Houston leg. It was well worth it. I spent a whole day surrounded by left handed guitars and bought this guitar for around $US1200 less that it would have cost in the UK.
