Lovely full sound. I really like this guitar although I am not a jazz fan. Bought this over the phone from Crane's in Cardiff at the same time as the Jagstang. I once saw an ES 175 (same as the ES 165 but an added bridge pickup) in a guitar shop. They wanted a fortune and I was 'between paydays' so missed my chance. Never seen one since.
